The upper part of the medieval tower of All Saints church was rebuilt in brick at the time of the 1770 restoration.

The chancel of the church was rebuilt in 1886 with windows in Perpendicular style, matching some internal details (niche, chancel arch) of that period.

Small but characterful, All Saints, Irby-in-the-Marsh, stands on what passes for a hill in the area.

The tower and nave are Georgian, built on a medieval base.

Kelly's Directory of Lincolnshire 1919 states :-

"The church of All Saints is an edifice of sandstone and brick, in the Norman and Perpendicular styles, consisting of chancel, nave and a low western tower with pinnacles containing 3 bells:

the church appears originally to have had aisles, and the northern arcade remains, built up in the wall:

in 1863 the church was restored, reseated and new roofed, and in 1886 the chancel was rebuilt:

there are 95 sittings.

In the churchyard is an altar tomb to the Rev. John Smorthwaite, vicar, 1813.

The register dates from the year I539"

"A List And Brief Details Of Chapels In The Alford, Skegness & Wainfleet Circuit Past And Present" prepared by Colin Shepherdson July 1998 states :-

"i) The first chapel (Irby-in-the-Marsh Wesleyan) was erected in 1838, closed in 1889 and since demolished.

ii) The second chapel (Irby & Bratoft Wesleyan) was opened on the 3.11.1889 in Pinfold Lane, Irby. A kitchen and toilets were added in 1963. The chapel is still with a membership of 8"
